Amy Jackson Smith Bio

True Nashville. True Real Estate.

Nashville native and last of ten children, Amy Jackson Smith is a walking encyclopedia of her hometown and can provide instant recall of the nuances and history of this great city.  Upon graduating from Vanderbilt University she became a marketing representative with the Xerox Corporation and swiftly landed in the top 10 of 100,000 sales representatives. Her major accounts included Vanderbilt University and some of the most renowned hospitals in the world located in Nashville. Anchored on her successful marketing career, Smith was one of three founding members of Business Nashville Magazine, a premier and popular publication, which later sold to Gannett Publishing.

Smith began her most rewarding career as the proud mother of two boys in the midst of transitioning from her Xerox marketing job.  Choosing to stay home and be a constant in their life provided her time to work on her love of real estate that led her to the art of flipping properties. And so began her successful venture in rehabilitating and designing properties before she eventually launched her official career in real estate in 2002.  Prior to her relationship with Engel & Völkers Nashville, Amy worked with French Christianson Patterson and Associates, formerly the Sotheby’s firm, holding the top sales position for several years.

Amy’s approach to real estate is of a boutique service philosophy. She believes in taking every aspect of the experience and raising it to a higher level. Quality over quantity is how she delivers five star, one-on-one attention to each of her valued clients. Behind- the-scenes, a team of experts have been assembled who understand the level of professionalism and expectations Amy has for her clients.  From photography to finance, she works strictly with the “Best of the Best.” This allows her to do what she does best, which is to be with clients whether they are buying or selling real estate. She is always present for showings and is a complete extension of the properties she represents.

“How can someone sell your home if they aren't there and your potential buyer is opening the door with the lights off and trying to find the kitchen and master bedroom? Every home has a personality that makes it unique and special in many ways. I am there to communicate the aspects of a home that make it sell,” says Amy Jackson Smith.

As a buyer’s agent, Amy believes that knowledge is king. She works tirelessly with her private network to find that perfect match for every client.  She is able to invest the time to her clients schedule educating them so that they are confident when they see the home of their dreams.

With a 14-year history of working with high profile music artists and their management, as well as business executives of top Nashville companies, Amy strives to deliver the same level of service to her first time home buyers or sellers who inevitably become clients for life.  She understands the anxieties and excitement of a purchase or a sale at any price point and works the full scope of the deal - always.

Connections are important in real estate. Over the years she has created a network within all Nashville real estate firms, as well as other key markets, with transactions soon topping 100 million dollars in real estate. Amy is very active in the Nashville community as evidenced by her seat on various charitable boards such as The Nashville Humane Association. She has also served as chairman of countless charitable events-the largest being chairman of The Iroquois Steeplechase for The Monroe Carell Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.

Having sold a high percentage of some of Nashville’s more prominent addresses, Amy understands what it takes to make you feel comfortable with your Realtor.  Her attention to detail and the needs of her clients makes her one of the most sought after agents in Nashville.
